The 43rd Annual Winter Carnival of Magic happens in Pigeon Forge on March 9-11, 2017, with a host of world class talent performing in two evening magic shows for the public on Friday and Saturday nights, and with magic supply vendors, workshops and competitions for conventioneers at this 3-day event.

Winter Carnival of Magic his staged again this year at the Country Tonite theater located just off Parkway at 129 Showplace Blvd. This is the area’s most state-of-the-art theater with beautiful sound and lighting, great seating and giant video screens, as well as lots of parking – very important in this bustling town.

Over the years the Carnival has drawn some of the greatest names in magic, with performers who have appeared throughout the nation and all over the world. This year continues the theme, with 14 star performers so far booked at the time of writing – check the Performers list for information on each performer..

Headlining the list of names is internationally famous Jeff McBride, who is also giving a lecture during the workshop sessions, the 4-hour Jeff McBride Super Session geared to students of magic of all ages and skills.

While the super convention offers compelling interest to magic aficionados, the public shows offer some spellbinding entertainment for the whole family. Friday evening, March 10, presents a double-header of The Zabrecky Hour and Jeff McBride: Master of Masks & King of Cards, starting at 7:30 pm.

Saturday nights offers the Comedy All-Stars Show at 8 pm, featuring half a dozen of the brightest lights in the business, and a stage awash with showmanship.

Tickets are $20 each evening for the public with reduced rates for children under $10. Call the Country Tonite box office for tickets at 865-453-2003 or 800-792-4308.

About Dusty Camp

I moved to the Smoky Mountains a few years ago from Alabama - a big change, but one I'm glad I made. I like meeting all the different types of people who visit here, and getting to know a little bit about them. I love to watch all the wildlife throughout Cades Cove, but most of all I like winter, waking up to see everything covered in snow and icicles.
