Music in the Mountains Spring Parade 2019
For the 34th year, Pigeon Forge holds its annual spring parade, on Friday, May 3, 2019 starting at 6 pm. It’s the Music in the Mountains Parade, northbound on Parkway from Traffic Light #6 to Light # 3.
The parade welcomes back baseball legend Cal Ripken, Jr again as Grand Marshal, and this year he is joined by Paula Deen, to lead the parade in a grand celebration of Smoky Mountains heritage and Music
Spring Rod Run 2019
There’s quite a sight to see in downtown Pigeon Forge this April 11-13 as the Spring Rod Run comes to town. This event, as in years past, celebrates classic and muscle cars cruising the strip with an all day and late-night street party and festivities. Hundreds of vehicles are expected, giving visitors plenty to see and do.
A Mountain Quiltfest 2019
A cozy mountain cabin and a nice warm and beautiful quilt just naturally go together, so it’s no surprise that the A Mountain Quiltfest is one of the most popular annual events in the Smoky Mountains. This year’s iteration is the 25th Annual and it’s taking place from March 19-23 in Pigeon Forge. Saturday, March 23, 2019 is the final day of the event, and it coincides with National Quilting Day which is coordinated by the Quilt Alliance and the National Quilt Museum.
Winter Carnival of Magic 2019
The 45th Annual Winter Carnival of Magic takes place this year on Thursday, March 7 through Saturday, March 9 at Country Tonite Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The three-day convention consists of two evening shows, a stage competition, a close-up competition, several lectures, and a dealer’s room.
The Carnival attracts professional magicians from throughout the United States, who perform and lecture. This event is great to see some out-of-town talent passing through, and also for those who want to learn more about the art of magic itself, and improve their own skills.
Christmas in the Smokies Bluegrass Festival 2018
For a different spin on the Christmas music this season, take in the annual Christmas in the Smokies Bluegrass Festival happening at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, Wednesday through Saturday, December 5-8, 2018.
Shades of the Past Hot Rod Roundup 2018
The 36th Annual Shades of the Past Hot Rod Roundup happens at Dollywood’s Splash Country Friday and Saturday, September 7-8, 2018. This event takes place each year on the first weekend after Labor Day, and is always a big hit.
Music in the Mountains Spring Parade 2018

This year the 33-year old parade says goodbye to Dolly Parton as its Grand Marshal and welcomes baseball legend Cal Ripken, Jr to lead the parade. The name also has changed, to Music in the Mountains, with an emphasis on the musical heritage of the Smoky Mountains.
Dollywood Ticket Prices and Season Pass
If you’re planning to visit Dollywood, you have a variety of options when purchasing the type of ticket that works best with your plans. For visitors on a weekend getaway, the individual one-day pass is perfect as it includes access to attractions, shows, and rides all day. Current pricing, not including tax, starts at $69 for adults, $56 for children, and $64 per day for seniors. For even more fun, visit Splash Country Water Park starting at $49 per day.
If you’re planning an extended visit, the two and three-day tickets are available for Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country. Two-day tickets for Dollywood start at $89 per day for two days and $99 for three-day tickets. Splash Country Water Park start at $69 per day for two days and $79 per day for three-day tickets.
Ponies in the Smokies 2018
The Ponies in the Smokies – PITS 2018 – Mustang meetup happens in Sevierville Convention Center Wednesday through Saturday, March 21-24, 2018.
This event celebrates the Ford Mustang, one of America’s favorite sports cars, and one of the longest running production machines since its debut in 1964. This is 4 days of Mustangs and Mountains, and people are excited!
