Easter Weekend 2017

Easter weekend 2017 in the Smoky Mountains brings excitement, celebration and worship. Here’s what’s happening and where to find it.

Kids, get some sleep on Friday night because Saturday morning, April 15, 2017, the Easter Egg hunt gets underway at 10:30 am in Pigeon Forge. The hunt is in Patriot Park – always a great place to visit and take a breather from the rest of the bustle on the strip.

Smoky Mountain Winefest 2017 at Arrowmont

The annual Smoky Mountain Winefest happens Saturday afternoon between 1 and 6 pm on April 8, 2017 at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg at 556 Parkway. At least 17 wineries from around Tennessee will be present offering samples and sales of their wares, along with expert guidance on wine and food, and the perfect food pairings from local restaurants.

Hands On Gatlinburg 2017: Make Your Own Artwork

The 2nd Annual Hands On Gatlinburg 3-day arts & crafts weekend happens April 7-9, 2017, offering a chance to create your own unique artwork under the skilled teaching of dozens of the expert artisans.

Gatlinburg is home to one of the nation’s largest communities of independent artisans, and some 40 different classes are being offered at multiple studios during this Friday-Sunday long weekend, presenting for many the chance in a lifetime to apprentice under a master in their favorite craft.

2017 Spring Rod Run

Pigeon Forge hosts the 35th Annual Spring Rod Run Thursday through Saturday, April 6-8, 2017. It’s a 3-day street party and a showing off of hundreds of fast, custom and very pretty automobiles. People pour into town for the event, with thousands of visitors gazing at the sights on the streets, as proud owners of muscle, motor, chrome and paint practice the great American pastime of Cruisin’ the Strip!
