Gatlinburg Trolleys: Now Free on Parkway
This summer in Gatlinburg a great hit is the Free Trolley on Parkway. The City ran a pilot test of this service last summer and it was very popular so it’s back again this year, running through August 18th. (more…)

Whitewater Rafting near Gatlinburg: Thrilling or Just Chilling on the Pigeon River
For whitewater rafting near Gatlinburg, the Pigeon River is the place to go. The area around Hartford, TN, 45 minutes from Gatlinburg, has a number of excellent whitewater outfitters running 1 1/2 to 2 hour tours down the river (See below for a list of top outfitters). Gatlinburg: 4th of July Midnight Parade 2012
Everybody is staying up late tonight as the nation’s first Independence Day Parade starts in Gatlinburg at the stroke of midnight. Since 1976 Gatlinburg has led the nation’s Independence Day celebrations, and tonight’s 37th Annual Gatlinburg Fourth of July Midnight Parade is no exception. (more…)
